Kenneth J. Kirchen is an insurance agent living in the city of Milwaukee. During the year 1951, Kirchen was employed as a salesman for the Security General Agency Corporation (company). He continued his association with the company until 1960. This relationship was the genesis of the lawsuits involved in these appeals. The company is an insurance agency handling various lines of insurance. At the inception of the relationship between Kirchen and the other litigants, Val Gottschalk was the president of the company, and remained in complete charge of it until his death in 1958, at which time his son, Don Gottschalk, took over complete control.
